Customs and Border Protection Air Interdiction Agent
Role
Man fixed wing, rotor wing, or remote aircraft in the support of the CBP mission. This includes, with the help of ground units, intercepting illegal weapons, narcotics, illegal aliens, and stopping human trafficking around the nation’s border, waterways, and oceans. This job includes flying patrol routes, intelligence gathering, tracking persons of interest, and fulfilling the role of a law enforcement officer. An Air Interdiction Agent is a law enforcement officer first and a pilot second. Officers will have to apprehend suspects and testify during court proceedings.

Requirements
-minimum 1500 hours (may receive waiver for 1000 hours)
-250 PIC hours
-75 instrument hours (Actual + Simulated)
-75 night hours
-100 flight hours in the last year-Comm + Instrument Airplane (single or multi engine) or Comm + Instrument Rotorcraft or both or equivalent military rating
-at least a class II medical (current)
-one year professional aviation experience
Other requirements
-Pass a background investigation
-Pass a physical fitness test
-Pass a medical exam
-Pass a polygraph
-Pass a drug test
