Government Pilot Careers
Requirements
-4 year degree

USCGA:
-10% acceptance rate into flight school straight from graduation
-You can apply for flight school after commissioning as wellDirect Commission Aviation Program:
pilots from other branches of the military
-up to O-3 starting rank
-5 year commitment on active duty
OCS:
12 week course in certain aspects of leadership and military operations for those with a 4 year college degree
-every CG career is open to you through OCS (including aviation)
CSPI - Wilkes Flight Initiative:
-sophomore or junior at a Minority Serving Institution to apply
-boot camp during first summer of enrollment in CSPI
-post-boot camp you become an Officer Trainee (active duty coast guard member)
-E-3 paygrade, college expenses paid annually
-report 4 hours a week to coast guard recruitment office
-sometimes get assigned a coast guard unit to train with during breaks
-join OCS after graduating
