-4- year degree (Officers)

-Completing of Officer Training

-Pass the selection process for Aviation

-Medical clearance and Background Check

To become an Aviator in the Army, candidates must first commision as an officer either through West Point, ROTC, and Officer Candidate School. The Army also offers a Warrant Officer Flight Training path, which allows candidates without college degrees to become helicopter pilots through the High School to Flight School program. Additionally candidates must pass the flight physical, security clearance background check, and the Selection Instrument for Flight Training exam.
